Hobby Time: Infinativity Set from Warsenal

Image
It sure has been a while since I've had a blog post hasnt it? Something like 4 months or so? Welp, I am back for a short little while where I can sort of catch my breath. The last few months have just been a wild ride, and im sure the future will just get a bit more crazy. I have 6 more battle reports lined up that need done (just need to get pictures added in). That number SHOULD be higher, but I havent been playing much of anything since PAX Prime concluded in February. There's also an Infinity ITS recap I need to do for the 2025 Richmond Open, which should be short if you know how that went. There's also little blog post ideas I have for other games, like Fallout Factions, Quar's War, Burrows and Badgers, and probably something else like Necromunda. Things akin to a "my review" of them, hobby posts (whenever that happens) and whatnot. But hey, we're here to talk about a Hobby Time moment I've had, which is really the first significant one of the ye...

After Action Review: Operation Hybrid Force: An Infinity Battle Report

Image
We're back again with another Infinity Battle Report, this time seeing the forces of the PanOceania Kestrel Colonial Force face off against the Japanese Successionist Army Shindenbutai. This battle report is very similar to the one played over on OnTabletop, as we are both using the forces provided within the Operation Sandtrap box set, one of the mission from the box set, and using the gaming mat and terrain from the box set. We set out to use EVERYTHING only from the box set, but my opponent (who got the box early) forgot them at home; and we needed Classified cards, to which those did not come inside the box. Also, in typical fashion, I did not take many/any pictures during turn 3. We were expecting the game to go a LOT faster than it ended up going. I also managed to forget what most of the classifieds that were drawn for this game. More on that later. There's also no side-story for this one, I did not have anything really planned for it, so here we go! (A week post-game th...

After Action Report: Operation Nightsong: An Infinity N4 Battle Report

Image
So it's been nearly a full year since my last post on here, and a LOT has changed in life. Between my local game store closing, picking up other games like Bushido from GCT Studios, Half-Tilt from TTCombat, and Fallout Factions and Wasteland Warfare from Modiphius, I have had a load of models to work on and not a lot of time to play games. But onto what this post is about, likely my final game of Infinity N4! I broke out the Ariadnans from the  Merovingian Rapid Response Force for possibly the last time for a while to take on my buddy Ghost00's Nomads from Bakunin. The game was a standard 300 point game using the ITS16 mission for the Direct Action Mission: Battleground ; the rules for that mission can be found here . Unfortunately, I made my list with options for Frontline, cause I forgot what mission we had initially agreed upon! Obvious disclaimer for this battle report is I have not played much infinity beyond a series of demo games since easily April of 2024, so saying I...

A Shattergrounds Battle Report: Operation Slingshot

Image
###Prologue### Col Kraznitsky, walked into the cantina at FOB North Bay, that's to the north of Okolnir. It was lit by aging bulbs, a fire in the hearth, and the lights from cigarettes. The rain had picked up since his team arrived from Okolnir, and the sound of those cold droplets sounded relaxing on the metal roofing top the old domed structure. Kraznitsky remembered seeing this style building in some history books of 20th century conflicts, but didn't realize he may end up in something similar to it.  He saw the person he was going to meeting off on the side next to an open window the opened to an overhang, a nice cold breeze when the rain can't get in, or at least not as much when the wind picked up. This was Col Gretizky, the officer in charge of the launch site relating to Operation Slingshot. "Looks like you've seen better days ol friend" Kraznitsky said as he walked up. "Need anything before we get started?" Col Gretizky took a drag on his ...
